SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES

 NOTICE OF VACANCY IN DISTRICT 2

 The Solvang School District Board of Trustees will make a provisional appointment to the Board to fill a vacancy created by resignation. The appointment will fill a vacancy with a term ending in December of 2026.

 Persons interested in candidacy for the provisional appointment must submit their written application to the District Office no later than 9:00 a.m. on March 31, 2025.

 Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the state, a resident of the school district in District 2, a registered voter, and who is not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the State from holding a civil office.

 Written applications will be reviewed by committee to determine eligibility.

Eligible candidates will be interviewed in open session at 5:30 p.m. on April 16, 2025 at the regularly scheduled board meeting.

 The Board will accept oral or written input from the public at the April meeting.

 The provisional appointment will be selected with a majority vote of the Board and be seated immediately.
