Dear Viking Warrior Families,

School starts August 14th and we are ready to kick-it off with our Ice-Cream Social on August 22nd at 4:00pm.  All Solvang School families are welcome to this free event! Bring chairs and blankets, enjoy ice-cream, and help us build our Solvang School community. 

We have also begun planning for our annual fundraiser dinner, Vikings in the Vineyard, on November 1 at Vega Vineyard and Farm, and remain dedicated to providing crucial financial support to the school.  Money raised ensures the art, music and drama programs continue, financial support for class field trips, as well as scholarship opportunities for our 5th and 8th grade student overnight science camps.

SSEF also hosts school spirit building events like The Read-Athon, Show of Shows, The Color Run, and the School Carnival. We also make sure our teachers feel appreciated with special lunches throughout the year and $200 per classroom for decoration and supplies. 

We have welcomed several new board members this July and are excited for new energy and faces to help us accomplish our goals.  Stay informed by following us on Instagram @ssefvikings, and Facebook as SAM- Solvang Arts & Music and make sure to read the ParentSquare message sent from the school.
